The Wisdom of the Gnostics |
|
This course is an introduction to Gnostics, Gnosis and Gnosticism,
using a series of introductory lectures on the nature of Gnosticism by
Dr. Stephan Hoeller. Dr. Hoeller's lectures include discussions of
central Gnostic scriptures, the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of
Philip, Mary Madgalene, the Prophet Mani, the medieval Cathar Gnostic
renaissance, and the Templar myth.
The topics of first ten course modules
follow the ten lectures by Dr. Hoeller. Each includes a lecture
considering the material covered in Dr. Hoeller's lectures, and a
discussion that covers both lectures and additional course material.
